out of network / Private Pay
I accept private pay clients and those looking to utilize their Out-of-network benefits. Payment is collected out of pocket at the start of each session, my rates are listed below. For Clients with PPO plans I am able to provide a 'superbill' at the end of each month for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
With our current political climate and growing concerns about the future of health care under current leadership I offer private pay therapy as an alternative to insurance-based therapy to ensure privacy and freedom to shape therapy into what my client needs without concerns about insurance oversights. (AI based denials, demographic gathering, potential risks to clients in vulnerable populations)
Rates are as follow:
- $200 - Intake session : The initial session after our consultation call where we will discuss reasons for treatment, goals, and previous history. This appointment is for 60 minutes.
- $130 - 53-60 minute session scheduled at a frequency determined by Clinical recommendation and Client preference.
- $30 - Phone Consultation with Client, Supports or other Providers regarding ongoing treatment. Each additional 15 minutes will incur an additional $30 dollars. Please note these calls are for ongoing clients and separate from the initial phone consultation offered to Clients exploring treatment options.
I accept all major credit cards. Payments can be made using the Client portal. If you are opting to pay out of pocket and have insurance coverage, I am able to create a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company.
Cancellation Policy
Since your appointments involve the reservation of time specifically for you, and out of respect for myself and my other clients, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for rescheduling or canceling an appointment.
If you know you are unable to keep the appointment please contact the practice at 508-301-7993 via text or phone call or email : daldrich@morningstarcounselingma.com so that I may make that time available to other clients.
As a courtesy, and to help Clients remember their scheduled appointments, Morning Star Counseling sends text message reminders 1 day in advance of the appointment time. Additionally you will have access to a patient portal where you are able to see your appointment and request a change if needed.
Same day (non-emergency) cancellations and No-Shows will be subject to a full charge of $130. This is not reimbursed by insurance. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are more than 20 minutes late for your session, your session will be considered a no-show and the remainder of your session time will be forfeited.
The credit card information you previously provided will be used to process this payment. By providing your credit card information or booking an appointment, you consent to this policy. Repeated late cancellations (more than two) may result in the termination of therapy. Multiple no-shows will result in the termination of therapy.
Emergency Exemptions
In the event of a serious illness or emergency the cancellation fee will not be charged. I offer one grace for these purposes every six months. Some examples of emergencies are car accidents, deaths in the family or extreme illness. Work issues do not constitute emergencies. This cancellation policy also applies even if missing the appointment was an unintentional act.
Frequent Cancellation Policy
Frequent cancellations (3 or more in 6 months or 2 consecutive) and/or missed appointments (no show) will result in the termination of treatment. This is due to the challenge of making consistent progress if the treatment is inconsistent.
